Hemşirelik öğrencilerine el hijyeni ürünü destekli verilen el hijyeni eğitiminin kirkpatrick modeline göre değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırma, hemşirelik öğrencilerine el hijyeni davranışlarının kazandırılmasında ve el hijyenine ilişkin bilgi düzeylerinde artış sağlanmasında el hijyeni ürünü destekli eğitimin etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Materyal ve Metot: Araştırma tek grup ön test-son test yarı deneysel olarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma; Fırat Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesinde öğrenim gören 147 hemşirelik 4. sınıf öğrencisi ile yürütülmüştür. Veriler Ocak-Şubat 2016 tarihleri arasında toplanmış ve verilerin elde edilmesinde Tanıtıcı Anket Formu, Bilgi Formu, El Yıkama Davranışını Planlı Davranış Modeli Açısından Değerlendirme Ölçeği ve El Yıkama Etkinliğini Değerlendirme Formu kullanılmıştır. Hemşirelik öğrencilerine verilen ilk eğitim 6 bölümden oluşmuş ve her bölüm 40 dakika sürmüştür. İkinci eğitim ise ilk eğitim bittikten bir ay sonra özet olarak tekrar edilmiş ve 45'er dakika süren 3 bölümden oluşmuştur. Verilerin analizinde sayı, yüzdelik, ortalama, standart sapma, bağımlı gruplarda t testi, bağımsız gruplarda t testi ve Kruskal-Wallis testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin el hijyeni eğitiminden en fazla memnun oldukları konuların eğitimci ve eğitimden elde edilen kazanımların olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Son test ölçüm verilerine göre; öğrencilerin bilgi puan ortalamalarının 15.20±3.68, el yıkama davranışı ölçeği puanlarının 138.69±11.86 olduğu saptanmıştır. Eğitim öncesi ve sonrası bilgi puanları ve ölçek puanları arasındaki farkın istatistiksel olarak önemli olduğu saptanmıştır (p< 0.001). Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin ellerinin, %51.7 oranla avuç içi ve %49 oranla başparmak kısımlarının tamamen yıkandığı ve öğrencilerin eğitim sonucunda elde ettikleri bilgi ve becerileri yüksek oranda uygulayabildikleri tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Hemşirelik öğrencilerine verilen ürün destekli el hijyeni eğitimi, öğrencilerin bilgi düzeyini arttırmış ve el hijyeni davranışı kazandırılmasında etkili olmuştur. Aim: This study was conducted to determine the effect of training provided in assistance with hand hygiene products on the nursing students' levels of knowledge about the hand hygiene and hand hygiene behaviors acquired. Material and Method: This quasi-experimental study was conducted with a single group using pre- and post-tests. The study was carried out with 147 senior students studying at the Fırat University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing Department. The data were collected between January and February 2016, and Introductory Information Form, Personal Information Form, Scale for Assessment of Hand Washing Behavior in the Frame of Planned Behavior Model, and the Questionnaire of Assessment of Hand Washing Effectiveness were used for data collection. The first training provided to nursing students had 6 parts, each lasted about 40 minutes. And, the second training consisted of 3 parts, 45 minutes each, which was provided as a summary one month after the first training. In the analysis of data, numbers, percentages, averages, standard deviation, dependent samples t-test, independent samples t-test, and Kruskal-Wallis test was used. Results: It was found that the students were mostly satisfied with the trainer and the knowledge acquired in the hand hygiene training. According to the post-test measurement data, the mean knowledge score of the students was 15.20±3.68, and the hand washing behavior scale score was 138.69±11.86. The difference between the mean knowledge scores and scale scores before and after the training was found to be statistically significant (p< 0.001). It was revealed that 51.7% of the students surveyed completely washes palms, 49% washes thumbs completely, and the majority of the students was found to put the knowledge and skills acquired by the training into practice. Conclusion: The hand hygiene training provided in assistance with hand hygiene products to nursing students was found to increase levels of knowledge of the students as well as helping them to acquire hand hygiene behavior.
