Cumhuriyet’in İlk Dâhiliye Vekili Ahmet Ferit (Tek) ve Görevinden İstifası

Abstract

Öz:Ahmet Ferit (Tek), Cumhuriyet'in ilanından sonra İsmet (İnönü)'nün başkanlığında kurulan ilk kabinede Dâhiliye Vekili olarak görev almıştır. Lozan Antlaşması'nın sonrasına denk düşen son derece zor ve hassas bir süreçte Dâhiliye Vekilliği gibi önemli bir görevi üstlenen Ahmet Ferit, "Yüzellilikler" in tespiti, ülkeye gelen mübadillerin yerleştirilmesi gibi çok önemli sorunlarla karşı karşıya kalmıştır. Görevi sırasındaki uygulamaları nedeniyle dönemin muhalif çevreleri ve basını tarafından sert bir şekilde eleştirilen Ahmet Ferit, bakanlıktan istifa etmek zorunda kalmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Ahmet Ferit'in hayatı üzerinde genel çizgileriyle durulduktan sonra Dâhiliye Vekilliği sırasındaki bazı icraatları ve görevinden istifası, resmi yayınlara, tetkik eserlere, anılara ve dönemin basınına dayalı olarak incelenmiştir

Abstract:Ahmet Ferit (Tek) was entitled as the Minister of Interior in the first council under the presidency of İsmet (İnönü) following the declaration of republic. In this very delicate and challenging period corresponding to post-Lausanne Treaty, Ahmet Ferit undertook such a significant duty as the Minister of Interior and encountered very remarkable problems such as detection of "150 Personae Non-Gratae", replacement of refugees in the country. Ahmet Ferit was harshly criticized by opposition parties and the media due to his applications during his duty and he had to resign from his office. This study touches upon the life of Ahmet Ferit in a general framework and investigates some of his activities as the Minister of Interior and his resignation based on official publications, survey studies, memorials and media of the given period
