ORTAOKUL ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN ÖRGÜTSEL SESSİZLİK ALGILARI

Abstract

Öz:Araştırmanın amacı, ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin örgütsel sessizlik algılarını belirlemek ve örgütsel sessizlik algılarının bağımsız değişkenler (cinsiyet, medeni durum, öğrenim durumu, mesleki kıdem) açısından farklılık gösterip göstermediğini belirlemektir. Araştırma, betimsel niteliktedir ve araştırmada genel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında Malatya ili Yeşilyurt ilçesinde görev yapan ortaokul öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada kolayda örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Örneklem 232 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Kahveci ve Demirtaş tarafından geliştirilen “Örgütsel Sessizlik Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Değişkenler arasında anlamlı fark olup olmadığını belirlemek için t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmada ortaokul öğretmenlerinin örgütsel sessizlik algıları orta düzeyde çıkmıştır. Örgütsel sessizlik algısı okul ortamı ve sessizliğin kaynağı alt boyutunda orta düzeyde; duygu, yönetici ve izolasyon alt boyutunda yüksek düzeyde çıkmıştır Örgütsel sessizlik algıları; cinsiyet, medeni durum, öğrenim durumu ve mesleki kıdem değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermemektedir. Sadece öğrenim durumu değişkene göre duygu alt boyutunda anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Bu farklılık şu şekildedir; lisansüstü mezunu öğretmenler lisans mezunu öğretmenlere oranla daha fazla örgütsel sessizlik yaşamaktadır.

Öz:The purpose of this study is to determine secondary school teachers’ perceptions of organizational silence and to determine whether organizational silence perceptions vary in terms of independent variables (gender, marital status, education level, professional seniority) or not. The research is descriptive and this study utilizes general screening model. The population consists of secondary school teachers who work in Yeşilyurt, Malatya in the academic year of 2017-2018. Convenience sampling method is used in this study. The sample consists of 232 teachers. "Organizational Silence Scale" developed by Kahveci and Demirtaş is used as a data collection tool. A t-test and one-way variance analysis were performed to determine whether there were significant differences between the variables. In this study, secondary school teachers’ perceptions of organizational silence reach at a mid-level. The perception of organizational silence is at mid-level in the sub-dimension of the school environment and silence; and is at high level in the sub-dimension of emotion, administrator and isolation. Perceptions of organizational silence do not vary considerably according to gender, marital status, education status and professional seniority. However, they vary considerably in the emotional sub-dimension only according to the learning status variables. The difference is as follows: Teachers with master’s degree have more organizational silence than teachers with bachelor’s degree do.
