Psikiyatri hemşirelerinde psikolojik esneklik ve profesyonel yaşam kalitesi arasındaki ilişki

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırma psikiyatri kliniğinde çalışan hemşirelerde psikolojik esneklik ile profesyonel yaşam kalitesi arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Materyal ve Metot: Tanımlayıcı ilişkisel olarak yapılan bu araştırma, Ağustos 2020- Kasım 2020 tarihleri arasında, Elazığ Ruh Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Hastanesi'nde çalışan 151 hemşire ile yürütüldü. Veriler "Tanıtıcı Özellikler Formu", "PEÖ'', "ÇYKÖ" kullanılarak toplandı. Verilerin analizinde ortalama, sayı, yüzdelik dağılımlar, gruplar arası farkı değerlendirmek için varyans analizi, bağımsız gruplarda t-testi ve korelasyon analizi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Bu araştırmada psikiyatri kliniğinde çalışan hemşirelerde psikolojik esneklik ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 124. 88 ± 11.38'dir.Yaşam kalitesi ölçeği mesleki tatmin, tükenmişlik ve eş duyum yorgunluğu alt boyutları puan ortalamaları sırasıyla; 36.88 ± 6.30; 20.10 ± 6.00; 24.48 ± 8.34 olduğu saptandı. Araştırmada; PEÖ toplam puan ortalaması ile yaşam kalitesi alt boyutlarından mesleki tatmin arasında pozitif yönde orta düzeyde önemli ilişki (p<0.001, r=0.450), tükenmişlik ile herhangi bir önemli ilişki olmadığı (p>0.05, r=-0.093), eş duyum yorgunluğu ile pozitif yönde düşük düzeyde önemli ilişki olduğu (p<0.05, r=0.168) belirlendi. Sonuç: Bu araştırma psikiyatri kliniğinde çalışan hemşirelerde psikolojik esneklik ile profesyonel yaşam kalitesi arasında mesleki tatmin ve eş duyum yorgunluğu arasından pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki olduğu saptanmış olup tükenmişlikle ilgili herhangi bir anlamlı ilişki görülmemiştir. Aim: This study was conducted to determine the relationship between psychological flexibility and professional quality of life in nurses working in psychiatry clinic. Material and Method: This descriptive and relational study, was conducted with nurses working at Elazig Mental Health and Diseases Hospital between August 2020 - November 2020. The universe of the study was formed by trying to reach all of the psychiatric nurses working in the hospital between the specified dates without using any sample selection method. The data were collected by using the "Descriptive Characteristics Form", "PFS", "PQOLS". In the analysis of data; mean, number, percentile distributions, analysis of variance, t-test for independent groups, pearson correlation tests were used in the parametric tests to evaluate the difference between groups. Results: In this study, it was determined that the mean age of psychiatric nurses was 32.68 ± 7.73 years and most of them were married and had undergraduate-postgraduate education. The total mean score of the psychological flexibility scale in nurses were 124.88 ± 11.38. The mean scores of the sub-dimensions of professional satisfaction, burnout, and empathy fatigue of the quality of life scale were respectively; 36.88 ± 6.30; 20.10 ± 6.00; It was found to be 24.48 ± 8.34. In the study, it was determined that there was a moderately significant positive correlation between PES total score average and professional satisfaction, one of the sub-dimensions of quality of life, no significant relationship with burnout, and a low level significant positive relationship with empathy fatigue (respectively; p<0.001, r=0.450; p>0.05, r=-0.093; p<0.05, r=0.168). Conclusion: In this study, it was determined that there was a positive and significant relationship between psychological flexibility and professional quality of life in nurses working in psychiatry clinic, between professional satisfaction and emotional fatigue, but no significant relationship was observed regarding burnout. It is thought that interventions to increase psychological flexibility in nurses working in psychiatry clinic will increase professional satisfaction and also reduce empathy fatigue.
