İsmet Özel’in Jazz Şiirinde Kötülük Problemi

Abstract

Öz:Bu çalışma, İsmet Özel’in Jazz şiirini felsefi ve dini literatürde önemli bir yer tutan kötülük problemi açısından analiz etmektedir.Kötülük problemi, en sade haliyle, Tanrı’nın mutlak kâdir, mutlak iyi ve her şeyi bilen sıfatları ile dünyada var olan kötülüklerinnasıl uzlaştırılabileceği üzerinde durur. Şiirde yer aldığı haliyle, şair doğal ve ahlaki kötülük arasında bir bağ kurarak, kötülüğünfail nedenini insanın kendisinde bulur. Aşkın bir varlığa herhangi bir atıfta bulunmaz. Fail neden olarak insanın ahlaki özensizliğinin hem doğal hem de ahlaki kötülüklerin en temel kaynağı oluşturduğunu düşünen şair için çıkış yolu da bu kapsamdabireyin ahlaki olgunluk ve titizliğe kavuşmasından geçer. Ne var ki şair kötülüğün ereksel nedeni üzerine sarih bir göndermedebulunmaz. Özel ne ebedi ahenk ne karakter yapım teorisi ne de daha büyük bir iyinin gerçekleşmesi için kötülüğe müsamaha gösterilmesi ve tahammül edilmesi gibi teodiseleri benimsediğini çağrıştıran ifadeler kullanır. Kötülüğün fail nedeni olarak rasyonalitesini doğru kullanamayan birey işaret edilirken, sorunun çözümü en yalın haliyle rasyonalitesini doğru kullanan birey çağrısıtemelinde nihayetlendirilir. Bu da bağdaşmacılık yerine libertaryan özgür irade argümanını kabul ettiğini gösterir. Sonuç olarak,sorumluluk insanda olduğuna göre çözüm de ondadır.

Öz:This study analyzes İsmet Özel’s Jazz in terms of the problem of evil, which is significant in philosophical and religious literature. The problem of evil, in its simplest form, focuses on how to reconcile the evils that exist in the world with an omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient God. As it appears in the poem, by establishing a link between natural and moral evil, the poet identifies the human being as the efficient cause of evil. He makes no reference to a transcendent being. For the poet, who thinks that the moral carelessness of the human being is the main source of both natural and moral evils, the way out is through the individual’s attainment of moral maturity and meticulousness in this context. However, the poet makes no explicit reference to the teleological cause of evil. Özel does not use expressions that evoke eternal harmony or character-making theory, or the theory of compatibility for the realization of a greater good so as to tolerate the evils in the world. While pointing the individual who cannot use her/his rationality correctly as the efficient cause of evil, the solution to the problem is finalized on the basis of the call for the individual who uses her/his rationality correctly. This shows that he accepts the libertarian free will argument instead of compatibility. As a result, the responsibility is on the human being, so is the solution.
