dc.description.abstract It is common that the declaration about identity is made in terms of "alternative." Because of this approach, the individual's itself is being ignored while external factors are being put forward. There are lots of differences between western sources and Alevi-Bektasi sources, even sufistic sources. In this study, it is aimed to perform a comparative analysis in terms of this movement. identity does not express the object that is shaped by reflecting from the alternative, it express object that develops by knowing yourself. Identity is self-discovering that can be expressed by "to be" as well as period of construction. It is possible that we can come across the explanation of "to be" in both sufistic and Alevi-Bektasi thoughts.
