dc.description.abstract This study aims to examine distance music education practices inthe pandemic period in line with the opinions of pre-school teachercandidates. The study, in which the single case study design, one of thequalitative research approaches, was used, was carried out with 22 pre school teacher candidates studying at the Kafkas University, Turkey. Thedata were collected through a semi-structured interview form created bythe researchers in line with expert opinions. The obtained data werecollected under different themes and analyzed with content analysis. Theresults of the study showed that the acquisitions made by the preschoolteacher candidates during distance music education were mainly based ona theoretical foundation. It was found that the greatest practical deficiencyoccurred in learning a musical instrument. The participants mostlyexpressed their views on saving time and space as the positive aspects ofdistance education. On the other hand, negative results were alsoobtained, such as the inadequacy of mutual communication in the distanceeducation process, the lack of infrastructure in practice, and the limitedcourse time. In future studies, it is recommended to implementsynchronized applications, especially for instrument training, by supportingonline materials. en_US
