| dc.description | Öz (İngilizce):The purpose of this research is to determine the problems and suggestions of PhD students at İnönü University Educational Sciences Department during their PhD education. Study group consists of 22 PhD students studying in the Educational Sciences Department of İnönü University Institute of Educational Sciences. Of the purposive sampling techniques, maximum variation sampling was used in order to determine the study group. Research data were gathered with interviews and analysed with content analysis method. According to the research findings, PhD students of Educational Sciences Department has such problems of lack of right to choose the courses, lack of course diversity, courses’ being carried out by mostly students, courses’ being tiresome with the students’ work, lack of right to speak in the supervisor selection process, lack of an education plan for PhD process, wide scope of the proficiency exam, stressful process of proficiency exam, lack of supervisor guidance in the proficiency exam period, determining the thesis subject, difficulty in reaching the necessary sources for the thesis, and getting the data collection permits. Students’ suggestions for these problems are increasing the number of elective courses, active participation of both the student and lecturer in the courses, changing the supervisor selection method, determining the scope of the proficiency exam, and getting the necessary resources through the university library. As a result of these findings, it can be stated that students are experiencing various problems during their doctoral studies and some suggestions are made for both practitioners and researchers. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.abstract | Öz:Bu çalışmanın amacı, İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Anabilim Dalındaki doktora öğrencilerinin, doktora eğitimi süresince karşılaştıkları problemleri ve öğrencilerin çözüm önerilerini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü Eğitim Bilimleri Anabilim Dalında öğrenim görmekte olan 22 doktora öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunun belirlenmesinde maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile görüşme tekniği kullanılarak toplanmış ve içerik analizi yöntemi kullanarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre Eğitim Bilimleri Bölümü doktora öğrencilerinin; ders seçiminde tercih haklarının olmaması, ders çeşitliliğinin yetersiz olması, derslerin çoğunlukla öğrenciler tarafından yürütülmesi, derslerin iş hayatı ile birlikte yorucu olması, danışman seçim sürecinde söz hakkı olmaması, genel bir eğitim planının olmaması, yeterlik sınav alanının çok geniş olması, yeterlik döneminin stresli olması, yeterlik döneminde danışman yönlendirmesinin eksikliği, tez konusu belirleme, tez için ihtiyaç duyulan kaynaklara ulaşamama ve uygulama izin sürecinin uzun sürmesi gibi konularda problemler yaşadığı tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin bu problemlere ilişkin önerilerinin ise seçmeli ders sayısının arttırılması, derslerde hem öğretim üyeleri hem de öğrencilerin aktif olması, danışman seçim yönteminin değiştirilmesi, yeterlik sınav kapsamının belirlenmesi, tez döneminde ihtiyaç duyulan kaynakların kütüphane tarafından temin edilmesi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu bulgulardan hareketle öğrencilerin doktora eğitimi sürecince çeşitli sorunlar yaşadığı sonucuna ulaşılmış ve hem uygulayıcılar hem de araştırmacılar için çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur. | tr_TR |
