Öz:Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, kadın eğitim denetmenlerinin eğitim denetmenliği mesleğine ilişkin düşüncelerini ve sorunlarını belirlemektir. Araştırmada genel tarama modeline dayalı betimsel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri nitel araştırma yöntemiyle elde edilmiş olup, nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgubilim deseniyle yürütülmüştür. Veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formunda kadın eğitim denetmenlerinin eğitim denetmenliği mesleğine ilişkin düşüncelerini ve sorunlarını belirlemek amacıyla cevaplayacakları 6 soru yer almıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde betimsel ve içerik analizi yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Türkiye’de 2011-2012 eğitim-öğretim yılında toplam 142 kadın eğitim denetmeni görev yapmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemine göre, kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi tekniği ile belirlenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu, görüşmeyi kabul eden 23 kadın eğitim denetmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda; kadın eğitim denetmenlerinin eğitim denetmenliğine yönelmelerinde farklı etkenler olmakla birlikte en sık vurgulanan etkenin “Öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin olumsuz tutum” olduğu belirlenmiştir. Kadın eğitim denetmenlerinin çoğu eğitim denetmenliğine giriş aşamasında herhangi bir olumsuzluk yaşamadığını ifade ederken, bazıları cinsiyete dayalı mesleki ayrımcılığa maruz kaldığını belirtmiştir. Araştırmada kadın eğitim denetmenlerinin çoğunun günlük mesleki çalışmalar sırasında sorunlar yaşadıkları ve en sık vurgulanan sorunun “Denetlenenlerin olumsuz tutum ve davranışları” olduğu belirlenmiştir. Kadın eğitim denetmenlerinin çoğu öğretmen denetiminde herhangi bir sorun yaşamadıklarını ve kadın eğitim denetmeni olmanın herhangi bir avantaj sağlamadığını belirtmişlerdir. Yine kadın eğitim denetmenlerinin çoğu mesleklerinden memnun olduklarını belirtmişlerdir. Diğer yandan kadın eğitim denetmenlerinin en sık vurguladıkları etkenlerin, mesleki memnuniyet açısından “Faydalı olmak”, memnuniyetsizlik açısından ise “Maddi yetersizlik” olduğu belirlenmiştir.
Abstract:What is mainly intended here in is to ascertain the female education supervisors’ opinions about the profession of education supervising, and to ascertain their problems as well. Descriptive method, based on the descriptive screening method, was utilized in the research. Having obtained the research data by means of qualitative research method, the research was conducted by means of phenomenological design, as being among the designs of the qualitative research. Semi-structured interview form was used as being the means of data collection. There were 6 questions being asked in the semi-structured interview form so as to be answered by the female education supervisors, with the intent of ascertaining their opinions about, and their problems arising from the profession of education supervising. Descriptive and content analysis methods were used in the analysis of the obtained data. A total of 142 female education supervisors are serving in Turkey throughout the educational-teaching term of 2011-2012. Study group of the research was nominated by means of the easily accessible condition sampling technique, according to the purposeful sampling method. Study group is consisted of the 23 female education supervisors, having accepted the interview. Consequently, despite various factors having orientated the female education supervisors towards education supervising, the mostly emphasized factor among them was found to be “the negative attitude towards teaching profession”. While most of the female education supervisors spoke of no negativity they had encountered throughout the stage of their introduction to the education supervising, some of them spoke of having undergone gender-based occupational discrimination in the meantime. It was further found out in the research that, most of the female education supervisors were encountering problems while doing their daily professional routines, and the “negative attitudes and behaviors of those under supervision” was the mostly cited among the aforementioned problems. While most of the female education supervisors spoke of no problem they had encountered during their supervision of the teachers, they also told that, being female education supervisors did not provide any advantage for them. Most of the female education supervisors further told that, they were content with their professions. On the other hand, it was further ascertained that, among the factors having mostly been cited by the female education supervisors, “being helpful” was the mostly cited one in terms of occupational satisfaction, while “financial insufficiency” was the mostly cited one in terms of occupational dissatisfaction.
