Öz:Bu çalışmada, bitümlü sıcak karışımların tasarımı için geliştirilmiş olan Superpave tasarım yöntemine göre, uygulama bölgesi olarak seçilen Elazığ için tasarım agrega gradasyonu seçimi yapılarak uygunluğu değerlendirilmiştir. Bu amaçla, TÜPRAŞ rafinerisinden temin edilen B 70/100 penetrasyon dereceli asfalt seçilerek bağlayıcının fiziksel özellikleri ile karıştırma ve sıkıştırma sıcaklıkları tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, çalışmada kullanılan kalker agregasından, nominal maksimum tane boyutu 12,5mm olan agrega gradasyonu seçilmiştir. Seçilen agreganın mutabakat ve kaynak özellikleri tespit edilerek uygunluğu belirlenmiştir. Sıcak karışım hazırlamak amacıyla başlangıçta üç deneme agrega karışım gradasyonu seçilmiştir. Bu deneme agrega karışımları ve asfalt bağlayıcı kullanılarak Superpave yoğurmalı sıkıştırıcı ile bitümlü sıcak karışım numuneleri hazırlanmıştır. Hazırlanan numunelerin fiziksel ve hacimsel özellikleri tespit edilerek Superpave şartname kriterleri ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Yapılan değerlendirme sonucunda kriterleri sağlayan en uygun agrega karışımı tasarım agrega gradasyonu olarak seçilmiştir.
Abstract:In this study, according to the Superpave design method developed for the design of bituminous hot mixes, design aggregate grading was chosen for Elazığ which was chosen as the application region and its suitability was evaluated. For this purpose, B 70/100 penetration grade asphalt obtained from TÜPRAŞ refinery was selected and the physical properties of the binder and the mixing and compaction temperatures were determined. In addition, aggregate grading with a nominal maximum grain size of 12.5 mm was selected for the limestone aggregate used in the study. The consensus and source properties of the selected aggregate were determined and their suitability was determined. In order to prepare the hot mixture, three experimental aggregate mixture gradations were initially selected. Bitumen hot mixture samples were prepared with Superpave kneading compactor using this trial aggregate mixtures and asphalt binder. The physical and volumetric properties of the prepared samples were determined and compared with the Superpave specification criteria. As a result of the evaluation made, the most suitable aggregate mixture that meets the criteria was selected as design aggregate gradation.
