Öz:Bu araştırmanın amacı, Türkiye’de FeTeMM eğitimi ile ilgili olarak yapılan lisansüstü tezlerin ve makalelerin incelenerek, FeTeMM eğitimi alanı hakkında genel yönelimleri belirlemektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yaklaşımlarından döküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında incelenen çalışmalara STEM ve FeTeMM anahtar kelimeleri kullanılarak ULAKBİM, Google Akademik, Ebscohost ve YÖK Ulusal Tez merkezinden ulaşılmıştır. Bu kapsamda amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi ile FeTeMM alanında yapılmış 19 lisansüstü tez ve 32 makaleye ulaşılmıştır. Bu şekilde tespit edilen lisansüstü tez ve makaleler betimsel içerik analizi yapılarak çalışma türü, yayın yılı, yayın yeri, yazar sayısı, araştırma yöntemi, araştırma örneklemi, veri toplama araçları, veri analiz yöntemleri açısından incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın verileri frekanslara dayalı bir şekilde yorumlanarak, tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda, en fazla çalışmanın 2017 yılında yapıldığı, makale sayısının lisansüstü tez çalışmalarının sayısından fazla olduğu, sadece 16 üniversitede lisansüstü tez çalışmasının yapıldığı, en fazla makalenin Kuram ve Uygulamada Eğitim Bilimleri dergisinde yayınlandığı, makalelerin çoğunlukla iki veya üç yazarlı olduğu, çalışmalarda çoğunlukla nitel veya nicel araştırma yöntemlerinin tercih edildiği ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca çalışma sonucunda, incelenen akademik çalışmalarda örneklem gruplarının amaçlı örnekleme ile seçildiği, örneklem gruplarını en fazla ortaokul öğrencilerinin oluşturduğu, veri toplama aracı olarak en fazla bilgi- beceri–başarı testleri ile görüşmenin kullanıldığı, verilerin çözümlenmesinde daha çok betimsel içerik analizi ve parametrik testlerin kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda mevcut analizlerden yola çıkılarak ortaya çıkarılan FeTeMM eğitimi yöneliminin araştırmacılara katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
Abstract:The purpose of this study is investigate the research trends of the journal articles, master theses (MA) and doctoral dissertations (PhD) regarding STEM education conducted in Turkish context. Document survey method was used that is qualitative research designs. This qualitative research used content analysis based on keywords related to STEM education. The sample of the study were reached from national academic data base (ULAKBİM), Google Scholar, Ebscohost and Higher Education Institution National Thesis Centre (YÖK). A total of 32 journal articles and 19 graduate thesis were selected for the analysis, following purposive sampling method. Type of study (e.g. qualitative, quantitative, etc.), publication year, publication place, number of authors, research method, sampling, data collection tools, data analysis methods were the variables used to categorize the studies. The data of the work is presented in tabular form, interpreted on the basis of frequencies.The findings showed that the highest number of research were conducted in the year of 2017, the articles outnumbered the graduate studies which were produced in 16 universities, the highest number of articles were published in Educational Sciences: Theory & Practice , the articles were mostly two or three authored studies, qualitative or quantitative method were frequently used in these studies, purposeful sampling was the frequently followed strategy, the study group of these studies were frequently from among secondary school students. Further, knowledge-skills-achievement tests and interviews were frequently used data collection instruments. Regarding the data analysis of these studies, descriptive content analysis and parametric tests were frequently preferred. It is implicated that such an analysis of the current research trend of studies on STEM educational in Turkish context may contribute to the further research studies by spotting on the research gap.
