Öz:Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimi çalışma alanı, bireyi toplumsallaştıran, geçmişi hatırlatarak bugünü yaşamasını ve yarını da kucaklamasını öğreten bir disiplinler topluluğudur. Hayatın kendisini konu alan bu dersin öğretimi, insanların topluluk halinde yaşamaya başlamasından günümüze kadar süre gelmiştir. Giderek küresel bir yapıya bürünen dünyamızda gelecek nesillerin yetiştirilmesinde Sosyal Bilgiler dersi önemli bir rol oynayacaktır. Yarının insanını yetiştirmede önemli olan Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin öğretilmesi konusunda Cumhuriyetten günümüze kadar çeşitli programlar uygulanmıştır. Programların bir kısmı yayınlandığı dönemde başarıyla uygulanmışsa da bazı programların uygulanması konusunda ciddi sorunlarla karşılaşılmıştır. Bu sorunlar genelde yeterli altyapının oluşmaması, ülkemizin içinde bulunduğu şartların göz önünde bulundurulmaması ve program içeriğinin sağlıklı bir şekilde oluşturulmaması olarak sıralanabilir. Sosyal bilgiler eğitimi alanında yaşanan bu sorunları en az seviyeye indirmek amacıyla Türkiye’de Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi Bilim Dalı Lisans Programı çeşitli üniversitelerin Eğitim Fakültesi bünyesinde kurulmuş ve öğretmen adayı yetiştirmeye devam etmektedir. Kurulan bu bilim dalı, birçok disiplini içerisinde barındırması alan uzmanlarının yeterlilik düzeylerinin çeşitlenmesi gerekliliğini beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu yeterliliklerin istenilen seviyelerde olmaması yaşanılan birçok sorunun kaynağı olarak gösterilmektedir. Yapılan bu araştırmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler eğitimindeki problemlere ilişkin uzmanlarının algılarını belirlemektir. Sosyal bilgiler eğitimi alanında doktora eğitimini tamamlamış 15 alan eğitimcinin katıldığı bu araştırmada betimsel tarama yöntemi kullanılmış olup verilerin analizinde Nvivo 11 analiz programı kullanılmıştır.
Öz:Social Studies education study area is a collection of disciplines that socializes the individual, reminds the past, teaches to live today and embrace the future. The teaching of this course, which is the subject of life itself, has started since people lived in communities. The Social Studies course will play an important role in the development of future generations in our world, which is becoming increasingly global. Various programs have been implemented in the Republic starting from the first days of the Republic to the present to teach the Social Studies course which is important in raising the people of tomorrow. While some of the programs were successfully implemented at the time of publication, serious problems were encountered in the implementation of some programs. These problems are generally not enough infrastructures, not taking into consideration the conditions of our country and not creating a healthy content of the program. Social Studies Education in Turkey, the problems experienced in the field of social studies education in order to minimize levels of Science Degree Program established in the Faculty of Education and teachers of various universities continues to grow. This branch of science, which has many disciplines, has brought with it the necessity to diversify the proficiency levels of the field experts. The lack of these qualifications at desired levels is shown as the source of many problems. The aim of this research is to determine the perceptions of the experts about the problems in social studies education. In this research, descriptive screening method was used in the field of social studies education and Nvivo 11 analysis program was used for data analysis.
