Amaç: Hepatit B infeksiyonu kronik karaciğer hastalığı ve hepatosellüler karsinoma gelişme riski açısından önemli bir sağlık sorunu olmaya devam etmektedir. Hepatit B infeksiyonunda HBsAg (Hepatit B virüs yüzey antijen) aktif infeksiyonu göstermekte, akut ve kronik hastalıkta serumda saptanabilmektedir. HBV DNA ise günümüzde replikasyon göstergesi olarak ve HBV infeksiyonunun antiviral tedavi takibinde kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada HBsAg pozitif saptanan olgularda, HBV DNA sonuçları retrospektif olarak incelenerek aralarındaki uyumun karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Materyal ve Metot: Bu çalışmada 2014-2015 yılları arasında İnönü Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Mikrobiyoloji Laboratuvarı'nda HBsAg pozitif saptanan 2437 hastanın HBV DNA değerleri retrospektif olarak incelendi. Hasta serumlarında HBsAg belirlenmesi için ELISA yöntemi, HBV DNA belirlenmesi için Real-time PCR metodu kullanıldı. Bulgular: HBsAg'si pozitif olan 2437 örnekten 1037'sinde (%42.5) HBV DNA pozitif, 1400'ünde (%57.5) HBV DNA negatif bulundu. 1037 HBV DNA pozitif örneğin viral yük miktarının 435 kopya/ml-9 milyar 782 milyon kopya/ml arasında olduğu belirlendi. Sonuç: Sonuç olarak hepatit B virüs infeksiyonunun tespitinde serolojik gösterge olarak HBsAg (Hepatit B virüs yüzey antijen), viral replikasyonun belirlenmesinde ve antiviral tedavininin takibinde ise HBV DNA moleküler test olarak önemini korumaktadır. Aim: Hepatitis B infection continues to be an important health problem in terms of chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma development. HBsAg (hepatitis B virus surface antigen) shows active infection in hepatitis B infection and can be detected in serum in acute and chronic hepatitis B disease. HBV DNA is currently used for the detection of viral replication and also assists in the follow-up antiviral treatment of HBV infection. In this study; we aimed to compare HBV DNA results retrospectively during HBsAg-positive cases. Material and Method: In this study, HBV DNA values of 2437 patients who were positive for HBsAg in Inonu University Medical Faculty Microbiology Laboratory between 2014-2015 were examined retrospectively. In sera of the patients; HBV DNA were examined by Real Time PCR method and HBsAg were examined by ELISA method. Results: Of the HBsAg positive 2437 samples, 1037 (42.5%) were HBV DNA positive, 1400 (57.5%) were HBV DNA negative. It was observed that 1037 HBV DNA positive patients viral load amount is 435 copies / ml to 9 billion 782 million copies / ml. Conclusion: In conclusion; HBsAg (hepatitis B virus surface antigen) is a serologic indicator in the detection of hepatitis B virus infection and HBV DNA is a molecular test in determining viral replication and following antiviral treatment and these still maintains their importance.
