Abstract:
Öz:Amaç: Bu çalışma, gebe kadınların genital hijyen uygulamalarını değerlendirmek ve genital yol enfeksiyonları ile ilişkisini tanımlamak amacıyla gerçekleştirildi. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı nitelikteki bu çalışma 914 gebe kadınla Malatyada gerçekleştirildi. Soru formu gebe kadınlara evlerinde uygulandı. Veriler SPSS 12.0 programında değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Örneklemdeki 914 kadının yaş ortalaması 27.48±6.02 yaş ve yaş aralığı 17-50 arasındaydı. Gebelerin %37.9’u ilk okul mezunu, %85.6’sı çalışmıyor, %71.2’sinin ekonomik durumu ortaydı. Kadınların %57.2’si iki günde bir duş alıyordu, %48.1’i iç çamaşırını iki günde bir değiştiriyordu ve %19.9’u vajinal duş yapıyordu. Gebelerin %17.4’ü genital yol enfeksiyon tanısına sahipti. Sonuç: Bu çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre gebe kadınların hijyen alışkanlıkları yetersizdi ve eğitimle desteklenmesi gerekmektedir.
Başlık (İngilizce):Evaluation of applications regarding the genital hygiene of pregnant women
Öz (İngilizce):Purpose: The aim of this study was to define the pregnant women’ applications on genital hygiene and its relation with reproductive tract infections. Method: This descriptive study has been based on 914 pregnant women’ in Malatya. The pregnant women were asked questions from a questionnaire form in their houses. The data were evaluated by the SPSS for Windows version 12.0 pro- gram. Results: Among the total sample size of 914 women, the mean age was 27.48±6.02 years and ranged between 17-50. Of the 37.9% females included in this study are graduated from the primary school, 85.6% of females are unemployed, the economic situation of 71.2% them is average. Of the women 57.2% have a shower in two days, 48.1% of them change their underwear in two days, and 19.9% have a vajinal douche. In addition, 17.4% of the females are being diagnosed reproductive tract infections. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, the pregnant women do not pay attention to genital hygiene and there- fore that they require educational support.
